Natural Remedies For Arthritis

Everyone who suffers from arthritis wants to find a cure - or at the very least a way to manage the pain and discomfort - so how realistic is the propect of being able to find natural remedies for arthritis?

Most arthritis sufferers are aware that, as yet, a cure doesn't exist for this chronic, degenerative condition. However - and fortunately for arthritis sufferers - there is some good evidence of the existence of natural remedies for arthritis pain management which are easily obtainable.

As an arthritis sufferer for almost 10 years, I'm firmly of the belief that if you can't actually cure arthritis it's a great help to be able to bring the pain under control! Let me point out that this is all medical science can offer through regular drugs so it's probably not reasonable to have a greater expectation of natural remedies.

Personal experience has shown me that it truly is possible to bring arthritis pain under control using the right dietary supplement - and to get back those aspects of your life you thought were gone forever - in my case being able to play golf again after 3 years.

There are a number of readily-available natural remedies reputed to be of benefit to arthritis sufferers. These include glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, MSM and - the one that works best for me - rosehip (organic) supplement. I have looked at the evidence for a number of these dietary supplements and details can be found on this website by simply following the links.

Not all natural arthritis remedies are equal...

Of course, each arthritis supplement will have a varying effect on different people. For example, where glucosamine sulfate might be great for one person it may have no effect at all for the next person, who might find that rosehip does the trick. So, it can be worth trying more than one type of dietary supplement and monitoring the effects to see what works best for you individually. However, it's best not to try more than one type of natural remedy (supplement) at the same time - unless recommended by a suitably qualified professional, of course.

Equally, different manufacturers have varying standards, such as the quality of raw materials used or the concentration of active extract/ingredient in their product. So, here it's worth doing a little research to establish who are the highest-quality manufacturers of your chosen dietary supplement. If one specific product doesn't work yet the evidence suggests it could it might be worth trying a different manufacturer/supplier.

It must be remembered that, for some people, it's an unfortunate fact that no supplement - whether supported by evidence or not - will work for them. Everyone's body works differently.

Natural remedies for arthritis are out there but anyone thinking of trying them out needs to set their expectations appropriately. Don't necessarily expect to cure or reverse the effects of your arthritis....but obtaining natural pain relief without side-effects is certainly possible. Also, don't expect to see an immediate improvement - it took me 4 months using rosehip before I noticed the positive effects.
